The Orange County Forum was founded in August 1990 by a group of Orange County business and civic leaders. It reflects the tradition of the great Commonwealth Club of California and Town Hall of Los Angeles, bringing together some of the most erudite and distinguished speakers in the nation
In a world in which we are bombarded with information through news and advertising media, the Orange County Forum provides an uncluttered channel to ideas that are driving our nation and our country.
The Forum also provides members with the opportunity to interact directly with international and national decision makers, helping shape the political, cultural, social and economic trends of the future.
The Orange County Forum offers opportunities to learn and better understand critical issues from the people who are making critical choices.
Programs include monthly luncheon meetings, receptions, and the Executive Leadership Series. Each luncheon program includes an often spirited question and answer exchange between the speakers and program attendees.
Major sponsors are hosted at an annual event and participate in periodic receptions with special guest speakers.
Among those who have addressed the Forum are U.S. Presidential candidates, Cabinet Members, and Ambassadors, U.S. Senators and Congressmen, State Governors, Constitutional Officers and Legislators, Corporate CEOs, University Chancellors, as well as state and county business and community leaders.
Members of the Orange County Forum have access to informative programs and personal contact with Orange County business, academic, and civic leaders. Members also receive the “Issue” newsletter reviewing Forum programs and activities and highlighting new Forum memberships. Many of the county's major corporations, law firms, and other leaders of the business community choose to become Sponsors and receive additional benefits at each sponsorship level. They also enjoy added visibility through inclusion in Forum newsletters and other printed materials, at luncheon programs, and through publicity and promotional displays at program events, and on our website, as well as through close interaction with their peers in business and academic circles who participate in the Orange County Forum. |
