The 2005 season culminated with the Los Angeles Sports Council naming Moreno as "Los Angeles Sports Executive of the Year". Born in England and educated at Cambridge and Yale, Griffiths was elected in 1964 as a Member of Parliament for the Conservative seat of Bury St Edmunds. Sir Eldon began his career in California as a Time and Life correspondent covering the departure of the U.S. marines from Korea, and later was a foreign editor for Newsweek. He was Chairman of the World Affairs Council National Board following nine years as President of the Orange County World Affairs Council and currently serves as a director and consultant to U.S. and UK-based companies. |
