The Continuing Magic Disney's Grand Adventure
For more than four decades, The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, has remained true to Walt Disney's promise that "Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world." The Resort continues to push the creative envelope far beyond anyone's imagination, with exciting attractions, shows, parades, and Disney Characters. And, with a second theme park soon to open its gates, the Disney phenomenon continues. Cynthia Harris was named president of The Disneyland Resort in December 1999 and has overseen the management and long-term development of Disneyland's Park and Hotel operations, including the new Disney's California Adventure theme park, the premium Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Downtown Disney - all scheduled to open in early 2001. Ms. Harriss will share the story behind the continuing magic of the Disneyland Resort . . . and we extend an invitation for Orange County Forum Members to spend the afternoon in the not-yet-open-to-the-public "Disney's Grand Adventure" so you may experience first-hand what Walt Disney had in mind when he promised " . . . as long as there is imagination left in the world."
