". . . Be a Fountain, Not a Drain"
The always-colorful Major League player Rex Hudler is now in his fourth season as the ever-colorful Anaheim Angels television color analyst from the booth at Edison Field. A veteran of 21 years in professional baseball, "Wonder Dog" Hudler played three seasons for the Angels (1994-1996) as an infielder and outfielder. In his final season with the club, Hudler recorded a .311 average and career-high 16 home runs in 92 games. During his professional playing career (1978-1998), Hudler played for 18 different teams, including his career opener in 1984 with the New York Yankees and a 1993 stint in Japan. With a reputation for his passion for the game and a keen sense of humor, Hudler views everything in life as an opportunity to motivate others … believing we can each "Be a Fountain, Not a Drain."
