The 2002 elections reflected reapportionment of legislative districts, bringing experienced, but new-to- Orange County, federal and state legislators. A special election added another new legislator, Todd Spitzer, elected to complete the term of Bill Campbell who was elected to the Board of Supervisors. In this decennial musical chairs of polictics, the faces may change but the issues linger. Currently, there are no more important issues facing California than its economy and budget deficit, the impact of the war against terrorism, and homeland security. This is the opprotunity to meet our newest members of Congress and the State Legislature, hear directly how they approach these critical issues, and share our views with them.
