About the event

In 1941, a Jewish chorale group was formed in the Nazi concentration camp of Terazin. The group was asked to perform Verdi's Requiem in front of Nazi officers and Red Cross officials. Despite the horrific circumstances of their captivity, the performers used their voices and the musical artistry to send a desperate message to the outside world.

As evidenced by recent headlines, Orange County is no stranger to overt racism. As hate crimes and anti-Semitism continue to rise nationwide, can the arts show us a path to understanding? The OC Forum is proud to present this timely discussion on lessons from the past and the hopes we all have for the future.
