Saving the Dream: Cultivating California's Workforce

In our previous conversation about employment, we examined the evolution of the California Dream Job. The pandemic and Great Resignation played a pivotal role in changing how we looked at our workforce and businesses. As a result, we learned that employees are emphasizing a healthier work-life balance and seeking jobs that offer a holistic package of benefits that meet their needs. In response, companies collectively pivoted to recruit new workers and retain their current workforce.  

 But even if an employee can secure their California Dream Job, many report feeling anxious or disillusioned about their careers when they enter the workforce. These feelings are especially true among Gen Z and women. So how do we prepare our future workbench? What role do we play in cultivating the workforce of tomorrow?
