Facing the Crisis in Children's Mental Health

Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church with her husband, Pastor Rick Warren, is an international speaker, best-selling author and Bible teacher with a passion for inspiring and motivating others to make a difference with their lives. When her youngest son, Matthew, took his life in April, 2014, her life was dramatically altered by the catastrophic loss. As she and her family continue to grieve the loss of Matthew, she has determined to be a voice for those living with mental illness.

Darrell Steinberg, former Senate President Pro Tem for the state of California, was well known during his legislative career as a champion of the mental-health needs of the people of California. His crowning achievements include the passage and implementation of groundbreaking mental-health legislation that dramatically increased access to care for millions of Californians.

Join these dynamic visionaries for a candid and personal conversation with CHOC Children’s President & Chief Executive Officer Kimberly Chavalas Cripe about the growing children’s mental health crisis and how our community can build hope for the future.
