Historical Reverberations

Little Saigon’s big contributions to Orange County

In this 25thAnniversary year of the OC Forum, we are looking back at events that have shaped Orange County while exploring the vision for our future. Since the end of the Vietnam Conflict  in 1975 a large number of refugees and immigrants from Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam have come to the United States, and especially to California. There are more than 1.8 million Vietnamese Americans in the United States with the largest concentration residing in Orange County. Since the 1970s, Vietnamese Americans have dramatically transformed Southern California’s culture, demographics and landscape. Join us as a group of panelists share their perspectives on how this impact has benefited Orange County.
