Event Recap: Housing Outlook

Updated: Oct 14, 2019

Dear Members & Guests:

On Thursday, August 9, the OC Forum hosted our annual Housing Outlook luncheon where we heard from industry leaders on trends and current challenges that Orange County is facing and will continue to go up against.

This luncheon program continues to be one of our most successful programs and this year's was, again, a sell out! We hosted 200 members and guests at the Pacific Club where we heard from Paul Johnson, SVP, Rancho Mission Viejo, Larry Webb, CEO, The New Home Company, Steve PonTell, President, National CORE, and, event moderator, Bryan Starr, CEO, Greater Irvine Chamber.

Housing continues to be at the forefront of the Orange County economic and policy discussions. The region needs increased housing production to remain economically competitive, yet there are major obstacles and challenges to getting it built. Major demographic shifts are impacting demands for types of housing.

Thank you to everyone who joined us as well as to the Greater Irvine Chamber for being our presenting sponsor and to ULI Orange County/Inland Empire for being a promotional partner.
