Dear Friends of the OC Forum,
What can the arts do to subvert hate crimes in America? What does anyone do when it happens right in their own backyard?
The recent wave of anti-Semitic incidents in our backyards simply must cause us to pause and reflect on how we got here, and what strategies we need to consider to seek a more civil union that binds us all.
The OC Forum has never wavered in offering programs that bring great conversations to the forefront of our communities. We hope that you’ll consider joining us for our Defiant Requiem: Courageous Lessons in Subverting Hate Through the Arts luncheon program on Thursday, April 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Andrei’s Conscious Cuisine.
This program is certain to bring you closer to the history and closer to the art of healing hate in America. Orange County is blessed with a deep history in supporting the arts and this is the time to join our “listening tour” that allows you to hear directly from American maestro, Murry Sidlin before he leads the Pacific Symphony in performing his piece, “Defiant Requiem” on April 16.
Take a look at the "Defiant Requiem" trailer to get a glimpse into Sidlin's impactful documentary and his stunning musical performance.
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, April 11.
Sincerely,
Paul Stover
President - OC Forum
